Why The Long Face

w/ Free Shipping‘Why The Long Face’ is an adaptation of the classic Dallas-Arbiter Fuzz Face circuit released in 1966. This is the quintessential vintage fuzz sound, originally made popular by Jimi Hendrix.
It’s a very simple pedal, with only 2 controls, ‘level’ and ‘fuzz.’ The classic Fuzz Face was available with two types of transistor, silicon or germanium. ‘Why The Long Face’ uses the germanium variety, which are less aggressive and smoother-sounding than their silicon counterparts. The circuit is renowned for its ability to ‘clean up’ with the guitar’s volume knob, and for that reason, needs to be first in your effects chain to sound its best.
