Unbridled

‘Unbridled’ is a reproduction of the third version (mkIII) of the Tone Bender germanium fuzz sold by Macaris in London in the late 1960s. It uses old-stock germanium transistors, measured and matched for ideal performance. It has controls for volume (Buck), tone (Bite), and fuzz (Bolt). There are also two internal trim pots for adjusting bias.

This is a classic-sounding germanium fuzz, with a good blend of aggression and smoothness, and enough clarity to really cut through a mix. The tone knob and modern circuitry make it a much more versatile pedal than some earlier fuzzes.
