w/ Free Shipping‘The Reins’ is a volume control pedal, useful for attenuating the signal from a loud amp in an effects loop* or controlling the overall output of your guitar/pedal chain. It’s also switchable, so it can be used as boost pedal or mute switch if desired. It uses an audio/log taper potentiometer for smooth volume adjustment that’s not too sensitive. And it’s smaller size doesn’t take up much space on a crowded pedalboard.

*IMPORTANT: This pedal is not a true attenuator. Attenuators are placed between an amp’s power section and speaker, and are designed to deliver a load to the speaker. This pedal is only intended to be placed before the amp’s preamp stage or in the effects loop. DO NOT place between power amp and speaker!
