Bareback

‘Bareback’ is a dual overdrive pedal, based on the Analogman King of Tone, a highly sought-after boutique pedal with a 5-year waitlist. It is essentially two modified Marshall Bluesbreakers, each independently switchable so they can be used on their own or stacked together for a more complex sound. This is a fairly ‘transparent’ overdrive pedal, adding gain without any significant EQ adjustments.

Each channel has controls for level, drive, and tone as well as an internal presence control. Additionally there are two internal dip switches that allow for selecting between soft-clipping, hard-clipping, and ‘high-gain mode’ per side. Lastly, a send/return loop has been added between the channels. This allows the two pedals to be split up so you can have more flexibility in where they are used on the pedalboard, or place another pedal between them. If nothing is plugged into the send/return jacks, the loop is disabled.
